Day 1: Idiomatic
Today the weather was terrible. It was raining cats and dogs.
Day 2: Insipid
I went to the grocery store today. I bought a jar of pickles and a pack of gum. It was a great day.
Day 3: Jargon
Today I had to pretend to be an astronaut for an exercise in class. I had to say "All systems go. We are ready for lift off." I felt incredibly lame.
Day 4: Learned
Today I had to present my extra credit project to the class about the Holocaust. I used the knowledge I had gained from visiting the Holocaust museum in Washington DC.
Day 5: Literal
I stumped my big toe on the coffee table today. It chipped my hot pink nail polish a little bit. It hurt for a good 5 minutes.
